Aparently

Reimer Residence Hall at Alfred University in New York

Reimer Residence Hall
Alfred University
in New York
Gender: coed
Stories: 4
Originally built as a men's residence hall, Reimer is now co-ed, with males on both the first and third floors, and females on the second floor. There are fifty rooms altogether. Currently, approximately 100 students reside in Reimer along with their three RA's (one on each floor) and one RD. Together, they create a friendly and vibrant living environment. The occupancy of Reimer is a bit larger than other freshmen residence halls (i.e., Cannon and Barresi) but still smaller than Alfred's largest freshmen hall (Openhym). The number of residents living in Reimer makes it easy to meet many new people and learn a great deal about others, but it is not too overwhelming for a new student. Residents of Reimer also enjoy a spacious main lounge where many gather and enjoy movie nights, programs by RA's, birthday parties, and a number of other community activities. Having an area in the building where studying and group projects can be completed is very convenient. However, there is also plenty to do on study breaks in Reimer. For example, we have a pool table and ping pong table in the building that many residents like to use for tournaments or impromptu games. Reimer is located very close to hiking trails and a picnic area. Overall, Reimer residents enjoy a diverse population of peers that work together and utilize the facilities that are found within their residence hall to create a home away from home.
